Welcome from the Chair

I am truly honoured to have been appointed as the new Chair of Governors at Tylers Green First School. I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank my predecessor, Mark Patterson, for his dedicated service and wish him well as he moves on to new pastures.

Living right next door to the school, I often see children happily skipping through the gates each morning - a sight that never fails to bring a smile to my face.  It's a daily reminder of the importance of fostering a positive and nurturing school environment, one where every child feels safe, supported and excited to learn.

At TGFS, we are all keen to ensure that our approach to education recognises the vital role of early years learning.  The foundations built in a child's formative years shape their confidence, curiosity and lifelong love of learning.  At Tylers Green First School, we are committed to creating an environment that inspires children to explore, grow and achieve their fullest potential.  

I also want to acknowledge the tremendous efforts of the entire team under Jude Talbot's leadership, which has impressed me greatly.  Their dedication in providing high quality learning and pastoral care is truly inspiring, a strong foundation which we will continue to build on. 

Education is a partnership between the school, parents and the wider community.  Key to this is open communication and collaboration, and I encourage all of you to share your thoughts, ideas and aspirations for our children's future. Your involvement and support are invaluable in shaping their experiences and opportunities. 

With a strong focus on learning excellence, personal development and wellbeing, we will continue striving to make Tylers Green First School a place where every child can be successful. 

I look forward to meeting many of you in the coming year and working together to achieve great things.
