Willow Class

Spring term 2026

Welcome to the Autumn term in Willow class.  Our teachers are Mrs Hamilton (Monday-Wednesday) & Mrs Busler (Wednesday PM - Friday).  Our teaching assistant is Mrs Illsley who is with us all week.

Our topics for the term are:

Spring 1:

Topic Starry Night - this project explores the differences in the world at night compared to during the day. It teaches children about the importance of a good night’s sleep, and helps them to discover what is happening in the world while they are sleeping, including finding out about nocturnal animals.
Mini Project Winter Wonderland - this project teaches children about the changes that happen during winter, including the types of weather associated with winter. It also explores places that have snow all year round and the types of animals that live there.

Spring 2:

Topic Ready Steady Grow - this project teaches children about food and farming and explores themes, including where food comes from, what plants and animals need to grow and survive and what constitutes a healthy lifestyle.
Mini Project Signs of Spring - This project teaches children about the changes that happen during the spring, including weather and the festivals that are celebrated at this time of year.
