Oak Class (Yr1) - Miss Giddens

Welcome to our Year One Oak class page!

We hope you will find it useful.

Our class teacher: Miss Giddens

Our teaching assistant: Mrs Weavers

On a Friday morning the class is covered by Miss Cozens.

Spring Term 2020

This half term our focus is traditional tales! We have all sorts of strange things happening to help us learn about them. So far Goldilocks has somehow broken into our classroom and left behind some belongings. We had to investigate the crime!

In maths we are focusing on length, height, mass and capacity. In Science we will be growing some beanstalks just like in Jack and the Beanstalk - I wonder how tall ours will grow!

Any questions or issues please just jot a note in your child's red contact book or catch me at the door.

Weekly Routines

Reminders

Please practice phonics (from booklets) as often as possible and note down the date that you have practiced too.

Reading books can be changed daily - please remind your child as they come into the classroom in the morning!

Please make sure all clothing, especially PE clothing, is labelled with names. This really does help us and you to make sure your child has the right clothing.
