One World Week - Italy

Cedar class have been learning about Italy during One World Week. We had a look at some of the famous buildings and we had a go at making some of these with Lego.

We looked at some photos of Venice and we looked at how they travel in this beautiful city. We know they use gondolas as a mode of transport and we had a go at making them with clay. We have also used water colours to make our own pictures of Venice and a gondola on the canal.

Cedar class have looked at the Italian flag and we were able to make our own flags. We also made a collage using the colours of the flag. Some are on display in our classroom.

Cedar class also learnt about the Sistine Chapel and how Michelangelo painted the ceiling. We had a change to draw our own pictures in the style of the famous artist himself!

The class have been designing their own kebabs and wrote some instructions about how to make them. The children made their kebabs and ate them afterwards. The kebabs were delicious.
